Spanish Learning Games: Una Preguntita 12

I play lots of different kinds of Spanish learning games with students. Some of their favorites are quiz-type games, so I make lots of questions. Here is a new set! The questions can also be used for different activities in class or for Spanish learning games at home.

One of the Spanish learning games I play is called Una Preguntita, so that is what I call the questions sets here on Spanish Playground. These Spanish learning games help children acquire language skills. With these questions, kids practice:

– drawing on their knowledge of a subject to guess the meaning of new vocabulary

– identifying words they know in different contexts

– recognizing word families

– recognizing cognates

– deriving meaning from context

– global listening or reading skills. In other words, they practice listening or reading for the main idea, rather than trying to understand every word.

You can use these questions for Spanish learning games like board games and quiz games. For families, they are fun on car trips or for a family game night. Kids like asking the questions as much as they like answering them. If you put the questions and answers on cards, kids can practice reading aloud as they quiz friends and family members.
